The origin
Between the eastern foothills of the Pyrenees and the Costa Brava lies Alt Empordà — a country of dry stone, vineyards and the tramuntana wind.
Rain falls on the Serra de Rodes and disappears into fractured granite, travelling slowly beneath a landscape of olive groves and old Catalan farmhouses.
The village
The village sits low on the plain, terracotta roofs against the grey ridgelines of the Serra de Rodes.
