Cabreiroá is a natural mineral water from Galicia, born near Verín in Ourense. Its character comes from the granitic underground of this green northwestern landscape.

Drawn from around 150 metres below the surface, the water emerges at a constant 16°C, naturally pure and bacteriologically pristine.

It is bottled without purification treatment, preserving its constant chemical composition exactly as it is found in nature.

The spring, known since the nineteenth century and declared minero-medicinal in 1906, remains one of Galicia's emblematic waters.

The valley of Verín, in Ourense, has long been a place people travelled to for its waters — a cluster of springs rising through Galician granite in a green corner of Spain's northwest.

Cabreiroá was among the most sought after, drunk locally well before anyone thought to bottle it.

Declared minero-medicinal

In 1906 the spring was formally declared minero-medicinal, the Spanish designation reserved for waters with recognised therapeutic properties and a composition that does not vary.

That constancy is the point: what is drawn today matches what was drawn a century ago.

Underground

Granite, volcanism and silica

Rain and snowmelt filter for years through fractured Galician granite. Volcanic and granitic activity deep below the valley enriches the water as it travels, giving Cabreiroá its medium, balanced mineralization rather than the featherweight profile of a low-mineral spring.

The signature the rock leaves behind is silica — silicon dissolved from the granite itself, present here at a level few European waters reach. It is what gives the water its soft, almost rounded mouthfeel.

Magma

Gas that comes from the earth

Cabreiroá's sparkling expression, Magma, is not carbonated in a factory. Its carbon dioxide is magmatic — gas generated deep underground by residual volcanic activity and trapped in the aquifer alongside the water.

Captured at source and returned to the same water it came from, it produces a fine, persistent, distinctly mineral bead.
