The date is not decoration. Fuensanta has been drawn from the same Asturian springs since 1846, one of the oldest continuously bottled waters in Spain.
The name itself — fuente santa, holy spring — predates the bottling by generations.
The mountains
Asturias is Spain's green north: high rainfall, protected mountain country, and rock formations that take decades to let water through.
That slow passage strips the water down. What arrives is soft, low in dissolved solids, and almost weightless to drink.
The gorges
Limestone foces cut deep through the hills, and it is along these narrow valleys that the springs emerge — cold, clear and shaded year round.
Ferns, moss and beech keep the pools in permanent green half-light.
The river
Small falls step the Pendón down through mossed boulders, the water still carrying the chill of the rock it came from.
